Stuie Lewis

Hello! I’m Stuie Lewis. I am the Children, Youth, and Family Minister here at FLC. I am excited to share my gifts with the church. My wife Tiffany and I reside in Bruce, SD with our sons Bruce (10) and Gabe (7). I have been involved with the Volga community for a number of years, and I am excited to add FLC to that list.

My work in the church began about a decade ago as a volunteer Confirmation teacher for First Lutheran in Brookings. This has grown and evolved year after year. It has been an honor to work with youth as they start and form their faith journeys. A good foundation is vital they transition through their education.

Working with youth has also shaped and strengthened my faith. It is amazing the theology and wisdom that can come from them! Wednesday nights are the best nights of the week as we get to learn and have fellowship together.

My time in the church has also led me to go back to school as well. I will be attending Luther Seminary via online classes starting this fall. When all is said and done, I will earn and Master’s Degree in Divinity. This will be an exciting journey, and I am very grateful that I get share that with all of you!
