Membership

Members of First Lutheran Church are encouraged to view themselves as Disciples, not as members of the church. We can be members of many types of organizations. Discipleship is a Christian term that embodies belief, commitment and servant hood. Christ calls us to be his disciples.

As disciples in this body of Christians known as First Lutheran Church we are encouraged to grow in faith and service by worshipping regularly, reading God’s word and praying, fellowshipping with each other, and expressing our love for God and others by serving Him, using the gifts that God has given us.

Becoming a Member of First Lutheran Church
You may become a member of First Lutheran by transfer, Affirmation of Faith, Confirmation or Baptism. You are encouraged to become involved in the church before joining, to pray about your   commitment, and when you are ready, to participate in a New Member Orientation Event.

New Member Orientation is held twice a year in the fall and spring. If you are a Lutheran who will transfer to First Lutheran, New Member Orientation is not a requirement, but is encouraged as a great way to connect with other members.
